First Date Hot Spot in Toronto
By DatingSOS Editor • Jan 13th, 2007 • Category: City Guides, Toronto GuideClueless about what your date really likes? Whether you met at work, at a bar or online you may not be 100% sure what he/she likes to pile onto the dinner plate. Worst thing you could do is take a vegan to a steak house… so play it safe instead:
Toronto has some great options if you are just not quite sure what someone likes to eat. Personally, I think the best one is Marche. Oeps, they renamed it, it is now called “Ritch Tree” (something like that), but I still refer to it by its old name. The main feature of this place is that you walk around as if you are in a market. There is a variety of different food types being dished out every day, from burgers to pizza or sushi. But don’t think you will be seeing any “fast food style” menu, anything that goes onto your (wooden) tray here is gourmet style.
Great place to take a first date because it is impossible that they do not have what he/she likes! In terms of atmosphere it also ranges from OK to perfect, depending on the location you go to. If you’re looking for the best one, try the BCE place.
