Free Date + Free Opera = Fantastic Time!
By DatingSOS Editor • Jan 25th, 2007 • Category: A&E, Toronto Deals, Toronto GuideI think my birthday came early this year! The Canadian Opera Company is hosting a series of free opera performances in Toronto, at the new and fabulous Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. I’ve always found the theater or opera a very romantic place to go on a date.
Take a friend or someone special, or even go alone! If you even remotely like music and the performing arts, opera is something you should try. For some it is an acquired taste, but all I can say is that the same holds for opera as for movies: not everyone who likes movies loves every single movie made. Similarly, while I have seen three different versions of Orfeo, I was a bit bored with some other performances.
Performances are in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre. From October to June,
every Tuesday and Thursday (12 p.m.) and the first Wednesday of each month (5:30 p.m.).
Never been to the opera? Try something new on your next date!
